Amanda is showing her friend how to get to Insadong. Her friend asked Amanda to introduce her to a place where she could feel the traditional atmosphere of Korea, and said she was departing from Jamsil Station. So Amanda is explaining the transportation that her friend can take to Insadong. But before that, there is something that needs to be fixed. It cannot transfer to Line 3 at City Hall Station. If they want to transfer to Line 3, they have to go to Euljiro 3-ga Station. And they can also walk to Insadong from City Hall Station. And if they are at City Hall, they can go to Insa-dong within a 20 minutes on foot, and transferring trains is more complicated. If any foreigner asks me about the geography of Seoul, I am confident that I will teach them well.
Q. Do you use a map when traveling?
= When I didn't use a smartphone, professional travel books with paper maps were essential for me, but now I can go anywhere with Google Maps.
Q. Would you ask strangers for directions if necessary?
= Of course. It's very important to listen to the local's opinions. Because I can get real information about nice places that are not in the book.
Q. How would you improve transportation in your town?
= Since I live in Seoul, the transportation in my town is excellent. However, I hope that the shared bicycle system, which is popular in Korea these days, will become more active.
Q. What kind of places do you like visiting?
= I prefer to visit places that are quiet and have something to learn. Art museums, history museums, performance halls, and libraries are such places.
Q. What are some of the most beautiful cities you've been to?
= Gyeongju, Korea, is such a place. Gyeongju is a relaxed and quiet city with clear traces of tradition and history from 1,500 years ago.
Q. When traveling, does your family like traditional stuff or modern ones?
= If I have to choose between the two, my family prefers the traditional atmosphere. Modern places are often considered similar everywhere in the world.
Q. If a foreign friend wants to visit Korea for vacation, what city will you recommend him or her?
= It will depend on which country the foreign friend is from, but the first thing that comes to mind is small cities in Gangwon-do, the northeastern part of Korea. For example, Sokcho is slow to urbanize, so there are many old cultures left, and there are unique foods and drinks, and the foods are not stimulating, so they will be suitable for foreigners' tastes.

Please introduce to foreigners about the top three travel destinations in Korea.
= (First of all, I would like to inform you that this site is too small to introduce a wonderful city in Korea.) My choices are Sokcho in the northeast, Gyeongju in the southeast, and Suncheon in the southwest. These three places are far away from Seoul in different directions, so the food and living culture of each city are very different. In Sokcho, you can see the beautiful East Sea of Korea and taste great crab and squid dishes. Gyeongju is a traditional city where traces of 6th century history remain intact. It has Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and has a beautiful night view of the lake. Suncheon Bay, a natural ecological wetland created 8,000 years ago, is located in Suncheon. There you can see some of the geological changes of the Earth.
